Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on October 28, 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer, was the first Roberts to settle in Atlanta. Early on, her father started to be interested in the theater. As an undergraduate at Emory University, he performed at several shows in Atlanta. He joined the Air Force, and was stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi, he acted in an production along with Betty Lou Bredemus. In 1955, the couple tied the knot and their son Eric Anthony was born. Walter along with his wife left their Air Force service in the year 1957 after which they began enrolment with Walter as a student at Tulane University. Walter began working for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. In 1964 Walter together with Betty Lou began production on a local Saturday morning children's television program called Bum Bum and His Buddies that they designed and funded. They later founded the Actors and Writers Workshop which ran for six years. In 1965, they welcomed two young children, Lelisa Billingsley as well as Julia Billingsley.
