Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to get a flawless score of 10 during the Olympic competition. Bela Karolyi, later Romanian Gymnastics Coach discovered Comaneci as she was only seven years old. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the national junior championships. She finished 13th. In the following year, she became champion. In 1972, during a meet of communist countries juniors before the Olympics, she was awarded 3 gold and silver medals. After that, in 1973 and 1974, she became the all-around junior champ. She won four gold and one silver medals in her senior debut international competition which took place in the year 1975. This was the first time she participated as an older senior. She was the first woman to ever successfully complete the backwards double salto after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens, she began performing in traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer during her teenage years. In her early years, Carol began as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. Ice Capades showcased performances of ice-skating with actors.
