Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda KOTB co-hosted TODAY's fourth hour starting in 2008 until April 5th 2019, in both cases. Entertainment Weekly has referred to the Gifford/Kotb time as time-based television. USA Today has dubbed TODAY's Happy Hour. The year 2014 was the year that Gifford composed the critically-acclaimed TODAY the Musical featuring the cast and hosts of the show and each month she composed an original song for the cult show Everyone Has a Story. She was inducted to the Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame, in 2015. Gifford hosted Live with Regis & Kathie Lee, a show that she was host for fifteen straight seasons.
