Carano is the child of the casino executive Glenn Carano and Dana Joy Cason Carano, born in and raised in Dallas County in Texas. She is the middle child with three sisters. Gina's mother was her caregiver after the separation of her parents after Gina was just 7 years old. Lucasfilm has terminated Gina Carano in season 2 of the Mandalorian series in 2021 because her behavior online was controversial.
